Notice of Non-discrimination

All patients have the right to receive care at VCU Health System without discrimination due to age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex (sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and pregnancy), protected veteran status, marital status, genetic information, or any other protected characteristics under applicable federal, state, or local law.

VCU Health provides free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as:

  • Qualified sign language interpreters
  • Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)

We also provide free language services to people whose primary language is not English, such as:

  • Qualified interpreters
  • Information written in other languages
