The 2023 Walter Lawrence Research Retreat was held on June 29 - June 30. The two-day event included a series of scientific presentations, poster sessions and networking opportunities for Massey members, students and trainees as well as clinical faculty and staff. In addition, Massey leadership presented its inaugural awards for excellence recognizing the center's exceptional researchers, clinicians and staff.

The inaugural Walter Lawrence Research Retreat was held on June 10, 2022 in honor of Walter Lawrence Jr., M.D., Massey's first director. In addition to scientific updates from Massey Research Programs and Center-wide initiatives, the included a keynote presentation delivered by Raphael E. Pollock, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center on "Contemporary Perspectives in Liposarcoma."
