We're addressing barriers and creating opportunities for our neighbors to lead healthy lives
Economic and social hardships place many members of our community at risk for avoidable illness, suffering, disability and premature death. With leading medical experts and deep roots in the Richmond area, it is VCU Health’s responsibility to address the barriers that prevent you, your loved ones and others from living healthy lives.
Removing obstacles facing our community
Our neighbors face challenges ranging from unemployment to hunger to violence. These challenges can dramatically affect your health. We are addressing these issues locally so that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to lead a healthy life.
Helping our communities during COVID-19
Economic and social differences can isolate people from the resources they need during public health emergencies, such as COVID-19. VCU Health is partnering with local organizations to bring medical and educational support to all members of our community in ways that best meet their needs.
