Cancer Rehab Program

Life doesn't stop for cancer - but cancer changes life.

What is cancer rehab?

Cancer rehabilitation is a comprehensive program that assists cancer survivors in regaining strength, physical functioning and independence that may have been lost due to cancer or its treatments.

Our experienced team of professionals work with individuals to address rehabilitation needs for a variety of conditions including:

  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Poor endurance
  • Decline in balance
  • Pain
  • Numbness in feet or hands
  • Scar tissue restriction
  • Late effects (such as lymphedema)
  • We are uniquely qualified to understand the effects of cancer and cancer treatments on daily life. Our goal is to improve your daily function and quality of life.

    Why was the program created?

Throughout your cancer experience, it’s critical that you maintain the things in life that are important to you – your energy, your activity level, your relationships. In fact, research shows that an active lifestyle including exercise can enhance your body’s recovery and contribute to a better quality of life during and after cancer treatment.

That’s why at the Hendrick Cancer & Rehab Center we directly address your physical, cognitive and emotional concerns caused by the disease and treatment – both during and following acute cancer treatment – to strengthen your return to full ability and enhance your quality of life.
