The transplant clinic is the ambulatory location where patients will be seen during the evaluation and post-transplant processes. Your assigned transplant coordinator is physically located in this area and will work with you and your caregiver to provide patient-centered care. The clinic is located on the seventh floor of the Gateway Building.

Inpatient Unit
The Hume-Lee Transplant Center facilities are located at the VCU Medical Center Main Hospital in downtown Richmond. For more information, call (804) 828-4104.
Transplant Unit Intermediate Care and ICU Unit
The Transplant Unit Intermediate Care and ICU Unit is the dedicated inpatient unit where acute inpatient care is provided before and after transplant, as needed. The 25-bed unit is both the oldest transplant unit in the country and the first to receive the esteemed Beacon Award. The unit is located in Main Hospital.
